How fast does a HELOC fund?
Funding is available in as few as five business days for eligible lines under $400,000 using remote online notary. Appraisal, identity and income verification, title, local recording and waiting-period requirements can extend that timeline, so do not promise a purchase closing against the best case.

What must be ready?
Have property and mortgage details, proof of ownership, personal-income verification and identification ready. Remote notarization and electronic recording depend on the relevant jurisdiction; the lender determines when all conditions are complete.
What slows funding?
An appraisal on a larger line, unresolved liens, incomplete verification or an in-person closing can add steps. Ask the lender for the timeline of your specific file rather than treating the published minimum as a deadline.
Worked example — illustrative, not an offer
| Illustrative starting line balance | $200,000 |
|---|---|
| Illustrative line being requested | $150,000 |
| Total liens after new line | $350,000 |
| New line below $400,000 by | $250,000 |
| Published best-case timing, conditional | As few as 5 business days |
Arithmetic only, not a closing or a loan quote. Actual value, combined LTV, fees and eligibility are determined by the lender.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Property and mortgage details — address, estimated value and all existing liens.
- Ownership and personal income — the lender verifies eligible ownership and personal income.
- Use and repayment plan — include funds needed, timing and reserves.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS
- Are five business days guaranteed?
- No. This is a conditional best case.
- Are weekends business days?
- Do not substitute calendar days for the business-day timing; ask the lender about your closing calendar.
- Does an appraisal add a step?
- Yes. Lines above $400,000 require appraisal under the program’s disclosures.
- Can I submit before committing to a purchase?
- Yes. Submit a referral request, then confirm eligibility and funding timing before relying on the proceeds.
