Maryland is listed as a non-judicial-foreclosure jurisdiction: a power-of-sale clause in the deed of trust or mortgage lets the sale proceed without a court judgment, following the statutory notice steps. Real Property §7-105 permits a mortgage/deed-of-trust power of sale or assent to decree; subsection (c) expressly contemplates final court ratification. Avoid describing Maryland as a court-free nonjudicial process.

Corporations & Associations § 4A-1009 treats foreign LLC ownership of income-producing Maryland property as doing business, except specified default or foreclosure-acquired-property exclusions. SDAT’s foreign LLC registration form lists a $100 filing fee.
Maryland’s state transfer tax is generally 0.5% of consideration under Tax–Property § 13-203. The 0.25% seller-paid exception for qualifying first-time principal-residence buyers is not an investor rental rate. Local transfer and recordation charges are additional.
